Typically internships are part of the international program which the student signed up for and if it’s not part of the curriculum then there isn’t much you can do. Interns coming into different countries to work must retain there F-1 student status, which gives international interns a full time student status in the country while studying. Also interns cannot legally be paid for any of the work they complete. Securing a job is simple after finishing an international intern, but it’s not easy to retain employment in the US and usually you’ll need to go back to your home country to secure a job. Your home country would love to hire a student coming back from an international internship where they just received hands on training from US staff.
